In French it’s officially known as le a de feu (The Great national holiday) and typically and legally called the juillette (the night of the joust).
Le 14 Juillet is also referred to as the Juillette (The fourteen of July. They would not eat anything cheap nor do they celebrate the holiday with any traditional French food.
